Research and Development is an important part of the work of the Alliance, which enables schools explore new strategies together. The aim is to share expertise in a range of school development areas and evaluate impact on children’s learning.

Hampsthwaite STEM Project:

We now have STEM challenges which our children are having a go at, and then publishing the results of their efforts online, in order to share ideas and comments, and in so doing develop their scientific expertise. The STEM challenges are ideally suited to older junior children.

Hampsthwaite School have lnked up with staff in other Alliance schools on this project.   The project involves looking at our STEM projects online, offering comments and ideas, and taking part in similar STEM challenges and uploading the children’s work to add to the online discussions and sharing of ideas and findings.
